Solo Exhibition - 800 Million Heartbeats
10/1/2016

My solo exhibition, 800 Million Heartbeats, is at the Trustman Art Gallery, Simmons College, Oct. 11 - Nov. 9. If you're local, please join us at the opening reception on Oct. 20, 5-7 PM! (Image: Beau (Tile Floor), 48" x 36", 2015.)

The title of the exhibition references the idea that all mammals share the same approximate number of heartbeats in their lifetime, so sharing the same mortality. The transitory nature of time and memory and the inevitability of loss are the conceptual foundation of my recent work, which focuses on the aging Beau the basset hound as model and avatar.
