Drawings are independent bodies of work, rather than preparatory studies for paintings. In some cases they are parallel investigations to the paintings, such as the And She Was and Beau:Model/Muse series, while in other instances they function as a body of work in themselves, as in the Ten Thousand Flowers and On the Road portfolios.
